How to be a better girl #3: Start a YouTube channel

I The You Hey guys! It's Jhaycee and today I will be telling you how to start a YouTube channel!!

Step 1- decide your topic

Choose something you can do for a while. Make sure it's something you love. Don't be a beauty guru when you'd rather be a gamer instead! 

Step 2- Materials 

What type of camera will you use?? I find that your phone camera will work really well. You will also probably need a tripod, unless you have someone to film for you. You will also need a place to film. You will DEFINITELY need an editing software. If you are an IOS user, you can use iMovie. If you have another type of phone, you can use YouTube capture. On a Mac, you can use iMovie, and windows can use Windows movie maker. All this software is free!

Step 3- Build your identity 

Find a name, and stick with it. Make something original, like if your name is Sally and you want to be like MyLifeasEva, don't make your name MyLifeasSally, do something like SallyLivesTheLife! Also, don't use a lot of numbers, underscores, or symbols, for example, don't go with OMG_$ally_1244504. Nobody will remember that. If you don't know how to create your channel, YouTube has great vids on that. 

Step 4- Film your videos!!

This step is pretty self explanatory. Just take your time on editing. With your first video, Truro do something popular, like a look book or a tag. These are more popular so that means more people will watch your videos. 

Step 5- Upload and advertise!!

Try to make a schedule when you upload. That way people will know when to watch. Tell your friends and family you have a channel. That will lead to a chain reaction of subscribers!!

DIY: Tumblr T-shirts

Hey guys!! It's Jhaycee! Sorry I haven't been on in a while, but I went to camp last week! So today, I will show you how to make those super chic Tumblr shirts without breaking the bank!

What you will need:

❤️ T-shirt or tank top 

❤️ Graphic Tranfer paper 

❤️Iron 

❤️Computer and printer

Step 1: Find the image 

First you need to find what you are going to put on your shirt. If your shirt is not white, try to make it a png file. Paste it into pic monkey or Microsoft word.  

Step 2: Print the image

Print the image on your transfer paper, following the instructions on the package. Most packages call for your image to be reversed. Test print on a regular sheet of paper before using the transfer paper.

Step 3: Iron on the Image

Follow the directions on your package to iron on the image. Peel it off, and you're done!!

How to be a better girl #2: how to make money

Hey guys! It's Jhaycee and Bri! Today I'm going to tell you how to make money!! 

1.Babysit younger siblings!

Go to your mom, and give her a deal she can't pass. She'll love that you're taking the Initiative!

2. Collect cans

Collect cans and take them to your local recycling center. This is not the thing for fast money, but you can get money.

3. Sell old clothes

You know that super cute American Apparel dress you have that no longer fits? Sell it! Some good places are eBay and Craigslist. 

4. Sell on Etsy

Really good at making something? Sell it in Etsy! You can make a ton of good money there!

5. Lemonade Stand

That's right! The good old- fashioned lemonade stand! Seriously! Just don't use a backwards e. Seriously. It's not it.

How to be a better girl #1 :How to look good in photos

Hey guys! It's Jhaycee in our new series! Today I am going to tell you guys how to look better in photos.

Step 1: Determine the problems

What makes you look bad in the photo? Some could be:

• Lighting
• Eyes
• Angle
• Smile
• Cosmetics
• Background

Step 2: Practice Posing!

Get in front of the camera! Find out how you can look your best! Just keep some things in mind:

• Decide which side looks your best
• Decide which angle looks the best. Most people go for a 40 degrees angle.
• Your hairstyle can affect a lot!
• Wear clothes that you look and feel confident in!

Step 3: Smile Naturally!

To smile naturally in a photo, think of something happy or funny (like your favorite joke). Practice in your mirror to see how you look!

Step 4:  Take the photo

Tilt your head! Most celebrities tilt their heads and it looks really nice. Don't put up any signs! A peace sign might me good but make sure the photographer is OK with it. Also find the best lighting! Go somewhere where no shadow is on your face. Turn on a lamp or go outside if you have to. Now it's time to pose and take the photo!

Easy DIY: Kool-aid lip stain

Hey guys! It's Jhaycee and today I'm going to show you how to make easy DIY Kool-aid Lip stain!

Materials:

• Kool-aid packet
• Vaseline

Steps

1. Open your Kool-aid packet and mix it with your water, kind of like you would if you were making regular Kool-aid.

2. Mix your Kool-aid mixture with your water.

3. Store or apply to your lips!

How to clean your room!

Hey guys! It's Jhaycee and today I am going to tell you how to clean your room, the right way!

So first you want to start by making your bed! This will make your room look 10 times better already! I cannot stress how important this is!! Try to decorate your bed as much as possible, to get the tumblr look.

Second,you should  clean off your nightstands. Especially if you eat in your room. Clear the table and put things where they belong. Feel free to put things back on the table. such as your most recent book, lamp, and tissue. Just make sure it doesn't get too junky!!

Next, you should pull everything from under your bed. Admit it, we all shove things under there!! Go through everything, and make three stacks; Keep, Donate, and Trash. Feel free to keep shoes and storage boxes there. Just make sure they are neat  and organized!

Now, you should go around and pick up everything on your floor. Make three stacks; Keep, Donate, and Trash. Find somewhere for the keep items, take donate things to a goodwill or Salvation army. You know what to do with trash!

Next, go around the room and clean all your surfaces. Take off everything, sanitize and dust, then find places for things.

Now, take everything out your drawers and make your three stacks again. Continue as we did in the previous areas.

Now, clean out your closet! Really! Make your three stacks and continue as we did in previous areas.

Congrats! You have now cleaned your room! Just make sure you keep it that way!

Summer life hacks

Hey guys! It's Jhaycee, and I am going to give you some summer life hacks!

1. Need to cool down this summer?  Start by filling a water bottle a quater of the way. Put your bottle in the freezer sideways, and go on with your day. When the water is frozen, it will stay on the side of your bottle, but not block the opening. When needed, take the bottle out the freezer and put in your favorite drink.

2. Want some tasty ice cream? Crush up a cookie, such as an Oreo, and simply mix it into your favorite ice cream flavor. Yummy!

3. Keep your ice cream soft with a Ziploc bag! (seriously!) Just put your ice cream (in a container) in a gallon sized freezer Ziploc bag and put it in the freezer! It's seriously that easy!

4. Keep your straw in a soda can with this picture!

5. Love popsicles but don't love the mess? Simply put a cupcake liner trough the stick to catch the mess!
